The world of Property Management is ever evolving and the team at Horizon Housing Realty are always working hard to find better service capabilities and improve our processes for our investors and tenants. With 2021 came a change to our overall Operational team structure to create both efficiencies and area specialists as we move from NRAS into the market rental arena. Your Property Manager will be familiar with the market conditions within their portfolio and the local benefits and challenges. Each different locality within Queensland is unique in the benefits and challenges for investors and tenants, and it is the role of your Property Manager to have an understanding of these and provide solutions to overcome challenges.
The start of 2021 has seen the real estate industry adapt to the new Covid 19 normal. The moratorium on rental evictions has now been lifted and we are seeing extensive wait lists for hearings as agents throughout QLD take eviction action against tenants for non-payment of rent. Now, more than ever, it is vital to ensure you have adequate insurance in place for loss of rent and we urge all landlords to review their policy and ensure sufficient cover is in place.
2020 has brought some very challenging times for everyone around Australia and we have all had to make changes at a very fast pace to keep up with the constantly evolving environment in which we work and live. Horizon Housing Realty (HHR) has been amazed at the resilience of our staff, tenants and landlords and are proud that, as a team, we have managed adapt and support those affected and continue our operations without any major impacts to our service.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our new Investors to HHR! The transfer of the management took effect on 1 September and we are thrilled to be part of the investment journey for over 1500 investors managing 1344 properties in Qld, 115 in NSW and 137 in South Australia.
